Hello,

My name is Fernando and I have a question I'd like to resolve if possible.

Let's say my King is in check by a Rook on his right which is protected by a Bishop right under the King (my King, the Rook to his right and the Bishop under the King).

The Bishop is not protected by any piece. Can my King take the Bishop?

I appreciate the attention given to my question and I'll wait for your response.

Thank you.

Dear viewer,

Of course the white King can take the Bishop. The graphic below shows the position you mention in your e-mail. After the King captures the Bishop, black player should win the game easily.

King can capture Bishop
White to move
