Did someone invent the algebraic system of Chess notation or it was a natural product of binary technology?

Just curious.

Dear viewer,

This very popular Chess notation is credited to a system developed by Philipp Stamma (1705 -1755). He was a Chess Master born in Aleppo, Syria and a later resident of France and England.

The algebraic system is now a standard form of Chess notation replacing the older descriptive Chess notation.

There is also a mate problem named for Philipp Stamma:

Stamma’s mate / white to move and mate in 3

1. Nb4+ Ka1 2. Kc1 a2 3. Nc2#
