Hi there:
Is there such a thing as a Women's World Chess Championship?
Dear viewer,
The first Women's World Chess Championship was played in 1927 and was won by Vera Menchik from Russia SFSR (1927-1944).
This event is organized by FIDE and is played to determine the Women's World Champion in Chess.
Russian Chess Grandmaster Alexandra K. Kosteniuk is the current Women's World Chess Champion.
