Hello ChessPoster,
I learned to play Chess about 11 years ago and have been played it ever since. I was 40 years old (now I am 51).
Just wondering if my age could be a disadvantage to achieve some kind of Chess title in the future.
What is the age limit to obtain a GM title?
Thank you for your great site!
Dear viewer,
There is no age limit for playing Chess or to earn a Grandmaster title.
As an example, the oldest Chess player ever to be awarded a GM title was Mr. Enrico Paoli (1908-2005) of Italy at the age of 88!.
