Hello chess-poster,
While visiting you page of "Great Games", I was thrilled to find the game between computer HAL and Frank Poole from
"2001: A Space Odyssey." I watched this movie more than 40 years ago and I really liked it very much but at that time I did not play Chess and did not pay too much attention to the Chess game they both played.
After reviewing the game, I just wonder what were the words made by the computer after winning the game and what was the answer made by astronaut Frank Poole when checkmated.

After HAL-9000 Computer (voice by Douglas Rain) moves 14. ... Bxg2, astronaut Dr. Frank Poole (played by Gary Lockwood) moved 15. Re1 and the following conversation took place:
HAL Computer: "I'm sorry Frank, I think you missed it: Queen to Bishop three; Bishop takes Queen; Knight takes Bishop... mate"
Frank Poole: "Ah... yeah looks like you're right... I resign"
HAL Computer: "Thank you for a very enjoyable game"
