Youngest Player to beat a Grandmaster title

David Wei Ling Howell, an eigtht-year old from Seaford in East Sussex became the youngest player to beat a grandmaster. He defeated GM John Nunn, a former British champion in London in 1999. David was born November 14, 1990 and is the youngest FIDE grandmaster of Chess in the United Kingdom. He has been playing Chess since the age of five years and eight months and quickly learned to defeat his father following the purchase of a second-hand Chess set at a jumble sale.
